The benchmark index of Jordan bourse continued its downtrend trading in the red for the second consecutive session hurt by industrial and financial sectors.
The benchmark index decreased by 0.17% losing 3.60 points and closed at 2116.54 points.
Yesterday, the bourse lost 0.10% or 2.12 points and closed at 2120.09 points.
As for sectors, the industrial sector declined by 0.54% and the financial sector shed 0.24% while the services sector rose by 0.08%.
Total of 5.725 million shares were traded through 2790 transactions at a turnover of JOD 6.825 million.
The top three gainers were, the Jordan Express Tourist Transport by 6.28%, The Arab Assurers Insurance Company by 5.00% and Jordan Wood Industries / Jwico by 4.91.
The top three losers were, Union Tobacco & Cigarette Industries by 7.43%, Taameer Jordan Holdings Public Shareholding Company by 6.67% Alia- The Royal Jordanian Airlines Plc. by 4.88%.
Out of 127 companies participated in trading, 36 rose, 49 declined while the remaining ones remained unchanged.
